UNSW Judo
The University of New South Wales Judo Club was formed in 1956 and the club has since grown to be the largest judo club in Australia with over 250 registered members.
Our sessions cater for all levels of judoka from absolute beginners to international competitors and Olympians. Our members range from judoka that come to training once a week to learn and keep fit, to members of the national team who train every day. We use modern training methods in all our practice sessions to keep you engaged and help you make the most of the time we have together. From time to time we also run self defence classes based on judo techniques.
The club boasts the largest and most successful kids judo program in Australia. We run children classes from 3 - 14 years of age where the focus is on fun, maximum movement and falling safely.
We regularly attract many international visitors due to our reputation abroad. We are also close to the city and easily accessible via public transport.
We have kids classes at two locations:
- UNSW UniGym, High Street, Kensington NSW
- Eastern Suburbs PCYC, 26A Bunnerong Road, Daceyville NSW (a 5 minute drive from UNSW).
